Muses

These are the preliminary paintings I made for the Gone-Gone series. In the summer between high school ending and college beginning, I made these to illustrate a short story that I'd written about these sparkly blue, man-eating creatures. Because I was so new to writing and had received negative feedback about how these paintings were "unsophisticated", I almost abandoned the Gone-Gone project. Fortunately (or not), I didn't and have finished the first manuscript, though the writing and these Muses have changed faces somewhat since then.
